'Avatar' Trailer Premiere
Over at Yahoo! Movies, we premiered the official U.S. trailer for James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ today. There’s been tons of hype around this movie and I honestly don’t know what to think after seeing the full trailer. The plot is definitely interesting, but it looks a little too cartoon-like and I can’t get over how weird the Na’Vi look.
My Perfect Attendance Record Has Fallen
The record has fallen. Yes, I know this isn’t nearly on par with Cal Ripken’s consecutive game streak or Wilt’s 100 points, but I’ve taken my first sick day in over four years.
It’s been awesome that I haven’t had so much as a cold in so long and I’m now reminded how much being sick sucks - daytime TV is awful, I’ve watched the same SportsCenter...

Politicking can sometimes benefit an individual, but less often benefits a team or organization.
Google Wave is lonely right now. Rather than a wave, it’s more of a small ripple.
Picking my Google Voice number is hard. Who knew it would be such a big decision? I...

The $1 Billion YouTube Premium
Wow. CNET posted an article today with a portion of Google CEO Eric Schmidt’s deposition in the Viacom case, in which Schmidt says Google paid a $1 billion premium for their acquisition of YouTube, in order to keep YouTube from being purchased by a competitor (most likely Microsoft or Yahoo!). At the time, I thought that valuation was pretty insane, especially considering they only had 12...

Verizon Takes Aim at AT&T
With the release of their latest ads touting, “There’s A Map For That,” Verizon is aiming directly at AT&T , and indirectly at Apple , by highlighting that Verizon has 5x the 3G coverage of AT&T.
My first thought when I saw this was that it doesn’t matter how good your network is if you have such poor devices that can’t leverage the power of the network....
